Dave brings a seasoned perspective to our co-op, where he is excited to be serving as both President of our Board and a core teacher. As an entrepreneur and investor, he created several businesses during his professional career. As he likes to describe his entrepreneurial journey, he made a lot of money, and also lost a lot of money, and he is very grateful to the Universe for having ended up nicely ahead. When not teaching yoga, Dave serves as an Entrepreneur-in Residence at Georgetown University's McDonough School of Business, where he mentors both undergraduate and MBA students.

Stacy is the Studio Manager and VP of our Board. When she's not in the studio or working on all things Potomac Flow, Stacy enjoys long walks, including 10-milers around DC on weekends with her husband.

Lee serves as Board Secretary. She began her yoga journey over 15 years ago while training for triathlon. She loves all things paper and stationery, and recently “retired” from her invitation business after 25 years. Now Lee enjoys her time on long power walks, staying curious by listening to audiobooks, as well as crushing the daily crossword puzzle with a cappuccino. She and her husband are recent empty nesters (their three boys all live in the DC area) and together love to travel and make homemade pizzas in their wood fired oven for friends and family.

Jojo serves as Treasurer of our Board. She is originally from China and has lived in the DMV area since 2009. She is a numbers lady during the day and yoga teacher/student at night. When she is not in class, she loves gardening with her husband Sean and cooking garden to table for the family. She also enjoys her time with their cat Sesame and dog Portobella (Bella).

Charlotte, who retired as an OB/GYN to raise her three boys, now grown, was an on again off again yogi until the pandemic when online classes became a daily refuge. When Potomac Flow opened, the abundance of amazing teachers and supportive community inspired her to take her yoga to a new level. When she's not in the studio, you can find Charlotte on the tennis courts or hiking with her two big mutts.

Connie is in her “happy place” when practicing yoga with the PFY community. Outside the studio, she is a physician executive focused on improving access to care, clinical outcomes and health equity. Connie is the proud mom of two teenage boys who are accomplished Pokemon & Fortnite competitors. When not at home proudly serving as a PFY Board Member, she enjoys traveling the world with her family and friends.

Gail, in her “previous life,” was an Employment and Labor lawyer. Now, she is an experienced Yoga Instructor and teaches here as a core teacher at PFY. When she’s not practicing yoga, Gail loves to travel, hike, play with her feisty puppy and spend time with her family and friends.

Paul is a part-time commercial bankruptcy and litigation attorney who spends much of his free time playing drums in a classic hard rock band and practicing yoga.

Sara is the past president of our Board and one of our PFY core teachers. Although her desire to make a difference in the world drove her to civil rights law as a career, Sara is happiest when she is moving. She loves hiking, backpacking, rock climbing, biking, running, dancing, and of course finding new ways and new places to balance on her hands. On a good day, you may find her doing one or more of these with her husband and kids. Some days, they kick her butt, and some days she kicks theirs – all part of her life plan for staying young in body, mind, and spirit.

After injuring his back when he was 40, a friend said you don’t need physical therapy, you need to start a yoga practice. At sixty-eight, Larry now enriches his practice with an additional 28 years of lived experience—trying his best to maintain steady practice through changing schedules, bodies, and seasons of life. He completed a 200-hour yoga teacher certification to pair that depth of experience with clear, safe, and thoughtful instruction from those that have the knowledge and temperament to teach others. His goal is to try and maintain health, strength and flexibility knowing he cannot twist into each and every pose or exactly follow every complicated transition.
As a Potomac flow board member, Larry believes the studio should be a safe place for everyone to explore movement and breath without judgment. He cares deeply about growing the community: knowing names, welcoming newcomers, and supporting people who practice side by side week after week. He works with Stacy (studio manager), studio members and teachers to ensure that classes are accessible to all levels, encouraging teachers to provide options and clear guidance so each yogi can honor where they are today.

Andy recently retired after a 47-year career in the commercial real estate industry and is a dedicated member of the PFY community. When he is not practicing yoga, you can often find him spending time with his wife, Robin, or participating in charity bike rides, hiking, gardening, or cooking — all while striving to focus on gratitude, connection and wellness.
