our core teachers

dave terzian

A lifelong athlete, Dave discovered the transformative power of yoga in 2013. His classes feature a fun and flowing style, with a focus on utilizing innovative transitions to bring students into familiar postures in unfamiliar ways. His classes incorporate an energetic pace and flow designed to build both functional strength and balance. Yogis describe his classes as both “fun” and “sneaky hard”. Dave says the “sneaky hard” parts are always optional!  He is E-RYT 200 Yoga Alliance certified.

gail allen

Gail Allen is a registered yoga instructor (RYT-200) and is also a credentialed RCYT in Children, Teen, and Trauma Informed Yoga. Gail has been a yoga practitioner in various styles since 2000 and started teaching yoga in 2013. She conveys her enthusiasm for life and yoga through her physically challenging classes that focus on strength, flexibility and proper body alignment. Gail’s classes emphasize mindfulness through cuing pranayama (breath) work and are also fun and interesting as she teaches innovative asana (posture) combinations. Plan to play, sweat and be energized when you take Gail’s class.

gina robinson

Gina has been a student of yoga since 2008 when she tried her first Bikram class. Since then, she has studied and practiced many styles and had the privilege of learning from many incredible and inspiring yogis. She received her first 200-hour certification in 2013 with Yoga District and went on to take a second 200-hour training in Ashtanga Yoga with Marie Belle PR. She continues to train in strength, mobility, and hand balancing.

Gina loves a fun, sweaty class with upbeat music to match her energy. In her classes, you’ll find a mix of styles blended together in a creative and accessible flow with lots of room to play.

jill holland

Jill has been a yoga practitioner for 30 years and a teacher for over 15.  Prior to becoming a yoga instructor, Jill worked in the Information Technology field as a software trainer and tech support manager. She is a teacher’s teacher: assisting with yoga teacher trainings with a particular focus on Ayurveda (the umbrella science of yoga) and yoga philosophy (which she is passionate about). As a young mother, Jill began teaching yoga to children of all ages after receiving her Budding Yogis certification with Circle Yoga. In 2007, Jill became a Registered Yoga Teacher at the 200 level through Inner Domain and has since accumulated close to 300 additional hours of yoga and other trainings (she is a certified reflexologist, reiki master, and hospice caregiver). She has taught, and continues to teach at, schools, studios, and hospitals throughout the area and provides private individual and group instruction at various locations. Her vinyasa flow style classes are well-rounded with challenging sequences that incorporate thoughtful cues, yoga philosophy, energizing music, and careful attention to alignment and breath. Her classes are often described as being at once physically demanding and soothing with plenty of options for arm balances, inversions, or taking breaks in restorative poses.

jojo wang

Jojo is passionate about her practice, bringing a sense of playfulness and ease to her class. She went to her first vinyasa class in Village Yoga as the beginning of her fitness journey but soon learned that the internal benefits are what helped transform her. She feels that yoga is a way of life, a source for healing, calming, uplifting and accepting. She completed her 200-hour RYT training in 2017 but she will always be a student of the practice.

Her goals as a yoga teacher are to inspire those around her to go deep within and accept themselves. Her classes are influenced by many styles and she brings joy and love into her practice, allowing room for the class to find their own edge. Expect an alignment- based flow with an emphasis on finding play and smooth flow in your personal practice.

laura hall

Laura began her yoga journey after two decades of dedicated athletic pursuits, including trail running, kickboxing, and HIIT training.  She initially turned to yoga to address her increasingly tight hips, but little did she know that yoga would not only help with her physical flexibility but also transform her mentally and spiritually.

As she deepened her practice, she had the privilege of being guided and mentored by several inspiring teachers, including Jesse Cassady, Mimi Rieger, Freddy Margolis, and Stephanie Rosenblatt.

Laura teaches and practices an Ashtanga-inspired vinyasa style. Her classes are challenging yet playful and fluid, always focused on breath and set to a powerful music soundtrack. She believes that we begin a yoga practice "as we are," and through the union of breath and movement, we can uncover and truly become “ who we already are and to know what we already know.”

Rooted in a deep commitment to cultivating intelligent and intentional movement and her passion to serve, she studies in an array of schools of yoga including Ashtanga, Rocket Vinyasa, Progressive Ashtanga, Budokon, Vinyasa, Yin and Forrest Yoga. Outside of the yoga space, Rachel loves sushi, rock climbing, paddleboarding, gardening, and making tie dye and mosaics. Rachel can't wait to help you make break throughs on the mat so you can change your life off of the mat!

sara clash-drexler

Having always lived an active lifestyle -- as an athlete, a dancer, and a lover of all things outdoors -- Sara discovered yoga more than 16 years ago to let go of stress as a young lawyer. Over the past 8 years, her connection with and passion for yoga deepened, as she discovered the ways in which it combined her love of athletics and dance while calming her busy working-mom mind like nothing else. Thanks to encouragement from inspiring teachers, she took the leap into teacher training, which she now sees as the greatest gift she ever gave to herself. A passionate civil rights lawyer by day and proud mother of two, for Sara, becoming a 200-hour yoga certified instructor has felt like a new lease on life. She is excited to share her passion with others through invigorating flows with an emphasis on breath and fluidity, allowing her students space to be playful, let go, and discover their own inner and outer strengths. In her classes, you can expect the full mind-body experience, using the breath to cleanse out the mind, while moving through a challenging high-energy vinyasa flow that blends the power of athleticism with the fluidity of dance, and offers plenty of opportunities to balance on your hands and get upside down.
